Industrial Dispute

Industrial Dispute is the dispute which occurs between employer and employee for a valid reason during their employment. The industrial dispute arises when workmen or employee raise their demands and employer is not able to fulfill their demands, then the dispute starts raising and converted into the strikes and other activities. It’s better to stop this situation earlier or initial stage of the dispute.

India government introduced an Industrial Dispute Act 1947, to maintain the peace and harmony between employer and employee, and there are the different procedure through which we will do the necessary settlement of the industrial dispute by negotiations.

The Industrial Dispute Act has the following objective:

  1. Lay off and Payment of compensation.
  2. Power of labor court
  3. Prohibition of strikeout
  4. Retrenchment of employee compensation and benefit
